Unconventionality is initially seen as the greatest sin with this Saturn & Lilith Opposition. You might have been punished for not following traditions and mainly for not being “conventional” (beauty, body-image related, sensuality, sexual preference, mindset, etc.). This opposition’s effects in moderation can help us tame our own wild & unrestricted side, but on the extreme can drive us into rebellion. In moderation, we learn how to balance individual ideals with that of societal expectations. On the extreme, this combination can heighten our independent nature and prompt us to “fight for our right to party”, against all odds. 

You might have felt held back in life through parents and/or other elders who at first may have seemed as though they are only trying to help shape your personality in a more mature & rational way. But, that might have created a huge power-imbalance instead, where they may have tried to control your choices, life & in many ways your body, independence & personal power. Too many constraints, challenges especially designed to stall, provoke or humiliate you may have plagued your early years, no matter how humble or how unruly your behavior was. Breaking out of such extreme control and seemingly unfair restrictions may have been almost impossible, but a deeper part of you seemed convinced that you can’t let a power struggle like this continue on forever, as it didn’t seem healthy (at all). At some point, especially in your adulthood, you had to take back control of your life, and take your power back entirely from people/places/situations that seem relentless. 

If you have strong Aquarius/Uranus and/or Scorpio/Pluto/Mars Placements you certainly had a hard time keeping your anger & frustration levels down while dealing with something so unjust. Your personal power and integrity may have been threatened or even your boundaries violated to various degrees. This fight might have been a result of abuse (physical, emotional or psychological), where you had no choice but to take your power back. This Opposition also makes it harder for you to have many people on your side when you clearly need support. Many may think that this is way too much to handle or they don’t like to be part of an uphill battle, some may even stand by and watch you struggle all the way through. But, you taking back your personal power & sovereignty might have felt just & fundamental, in many ways you might not have had a choice but to regain control over your life. 

Using you individuality, passion and raw determination for just causes, and to bring more structure into your life will be one of the positive results of this Opposition. Saturn will keep bringing severe restrictions and keep challenging your ideals, even more so your desire for freedom, until you become aware of them yourself. You must take the time to understand: “What drives you, what do raw passion & desire mean to you, where are you being rebellious out of a wounded ego, even if it is justified as standing up against unfair situations/people”; If you are feeling disempowered in a situation/place/relationship, how are you contributing to that power-imbalance”, etc. Hence, this Opposition demands deep honesty and a strong sense of integrity from you. It can ultimately enlighten you to both your flaws and your strengths. 

You find the reservoirs of your own inner strength when dealing with such circumstances, where you uphold your integrity in a calm yet powerful stance, without giving into anger & frustration, yet not forgetting about your equally-powerful-side as well, since you learn how your need for justice, freedom and respect can easily turn destructive and cause more damage than you can repair. Embracing your wild & untamed side, without letting both others’ & your own weaknesses to control your life, becomes a hard-earned-lesson that adds to your power. 

Saturn can help guide Lilith’s intensity in a more productive and fulfilling way, streamlining your passions. You will also learn how to live an unconventional lifestyle unrestricted by certain societal norms that don’t suit your goals or passions, while simultaneously being conscious of your intense drive for independence. Most of all, you will be able to conquer your own inner demons (as fears & insecurities), all while becoming adept at dealing with others’ who may be subconsciously trying to project their shame & inadequacies onto you. You might also become the voice for those who may be going through similar experiences, especially being focused on social injustices where people who deserve fair treatment are being unfairly shunned, targeted or even hurt. With this Opposition, Peace, Personal Sovereignty & Independence are hard-earned indeed. It will take a lot of time, patience and self-reflection to get a good hold of this Opposition, as overtime the lessons will immensely Empower you and make you a True Force to be Reckoned with.
